Dahlia Fold

Ok, so I have been trying to do the Dahlia Fold and I am having so much problem with papers.

I wanted a bold printed paper on one side and a softer pattern of some sort on the backside. CTMH papers are plain colors on the backside, two sided papers from my LSS are more like cardstock and HARD to fold and the white core shows through when I fold it.

I think I am going to have to go to the dark side (lol) and purchase papers from a competing company. I am just kidding...I am in no way a purist creator. So, as soon as I get new papers I will attempt them again and post the pics.

I did create Origami Butterflies for a fellow consultant whose friend has Cancer. She is trying to collect 1,000 paper butterflies. I sent in 35 to help. My smallest one was 1" and it was hard to fold, but I wanted to see how small I could go!

My daughter is graduating from Nursing school tonight, so I am off to create a graduation card.

TTFN and have a great weekend!

  1. My son is way into Origami and he is having a rough time showing me the butterflies... he even brought out the "kid version". LOL I can do shirts, dahlia, etc.... but the butterfly its not sinking in and staying... LOL I would love to see you use them on a card or layout though...
