Homemade Christmas Presents

A special thank you to all of my fellow CTMH sisters that are now following my blog and have become friends on Facebook, I truly appreciate you and want to wish you a Happy 2012!

As some of you know, my Dad passed away in 2010. It was sudden and extremely unexpected. My Dad loved Christmas and every year he would hand out the presents while wearing his Santa hat and his Green sweatshirt. He and Mom had matching shirts and they would also wear them out when Christmas shopping. Mom donated his clothing last month and she was donating the shirt, I couldn't let it go.

I decided to make sure everyone had a piece of Dad and his tradition each Christmas and made these ornaments. I cut thin strips of his shirt and I soaked a small piece with his favorite cologne, so you can smell it through the top.

Other side

And they were loved by all. My nephew Josh, My sister Julie, My daughter Natasha and My Mom.

A couple of months ago, my Nephews dog, Mystery died. He had her since she was a pup and after having had puppies, she became ill and never recovered. I created this canvas using Quick Quotes for him. Once I read the sentiment, I new it was meant for him!

And a tearful homemade Christmas was had by all!

Tis the season....

to be extremely busy! We had lots of hectic shopping and wrapping Christmas week. And I spent all day Christmas Eve finishing the homemade gifts for my family. I will post the pictures tomorrow, I don't have my camera with me right now.

To all my CTMH sisters, I am leaving the company, due to not having the time to work on the business. I will however be able to keep the Auto Order form updated thanks to Beverly Gosling, she will send me the new IBs and post on the BBs when they are updated for me. So, either watch for her posts or subscribe to my blog to be notified.
Be back tomorrow!

Christmas Card Swap

Hello my fellow creators, I am trying something new. Taking step by step pics of my creations to share with you and hopefully teach you something new or help you remember to try a technique you used to use and haven't in a while.

I signed up at my local scrapbook store for a Christmas cards swap and this is my creation.

I chose the Olive colored cardstock from the DCWV stack and used the Cuttlebug and the Lace Tree folder to emboss them.
I then rubbed them with Peeled Paint Distress ink.
I tore around the images, and then inked the edges with the same ink pad.
I used 2 different Christmas papers and mounted the trees. I used Brown Kraft cardstock for the base.
I found these really cute little red ribbons with white pearls by Darice to use as my tree toppers.
I finished it off by adding accents with my Viva Pearl Pens. These things are awesome. You can place your dots on your creation or you can make them on wax paper, let them dry and pel them off and use. You can also color them with you Copics!
My choice of adhesive when I am working with an embossed paper is the Tombow Mono liquid glue. It does an great job at getting in the nooks and cranies of the embossing.
Hope you enjoyed my creation, please comment or email me at scrapjaci@yahoo.com
Also, check out the new feature I am trying called The Inlinkz Manager.

Copic page completed, Auto Order update

Hello my fellow creators!

I have added a Copic page with links to helpful sites and to digi images. Check it out and if you have a favorite site, send it to me and I will add it. scrapjaci@yahoo.com

Also, thanks to Lalia Harris, I have posted a updated version of the auto order form. On the "How to Use" page there is a box where you can put your tax rate in and it will change it on all the forms for you. And I changed the price of the SOTM so it figures correctly now.

I have been busy moving into my new scrap room and getting things organized. When I am finished I will post pics, although it won't be decorated the way I want yet. That will most likely be next year before that happens.

Everyone have a great time creating!

Copics and an update

I wanted to update you on my sister, she came through her surgery with flying colors and is showing signs of improvement on movement. She was tickled to death that she could scratch her nose, which means she will once again be able to feed herself with her right hand Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net. And she came home today.

I have recently started purchasing Copic markers and taking classes at my local scrapbook store. So, I have been thirsting for knowledge on how to use my beautiful new rainbow of colors and searching for digital stamps to use. I have compiled my searching into a new page on my blog. I am adding more to it so keep checking back. Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Updating my blog

I have been working away on updating the blog. I have updated the Shopping sites, Blog Resources and Scrapping Resources. I have more to add to them and will let you know when I have more updates.

Tomorrow is the 10th Anniversary of 9/11...please keep the families of those that lost their lives in your thoughts and prayers. May God bless them and ease their aching hearts.

I have a prayer/keep us in your thoughts request of my own. My sister, Julie is having surgery on her spine Tuesday. She has severe arthritis in her discs and it is squeezing her spinal cord. She is currently having issues with her arms & legs and is having problems walking, lifting her arms and gripping. We are very hopeful that the replacement surgery of C2 - C6 will allow her to live a normal life again.

Thank you for any prayers and good thoughts.

TWEAKING!?!

That is my new favorite word! Tweaking ~ to make a minor adjustment to: to tweak a computer program. In my case I am tweaking creative projects and more. Making small changes to them.

I have been taking a few classes at  Scrap N Friends because I feel the need to make new friends and I need to create and I do not currently have a space to do that in. Creating is my stress relief and I desperately need that Free Smiley Courtesy of www.millan.net lol!

I love the classes, but I have to be honest and admit that not all of the things we do meet my creative style. And I don't carry ALL of my scrap supplies with me, so when I get home, I am going to start TWEAKING them to fit my creative style.

I will take before and after pics and post them. My first TWEAKING is not a paper creation, it is a tote I purchased to take to class. I wasn't crazy about it being black and white, so I came home and TWEAKED it in 15 minutes with my Copics.

What do you think of the creative change?

Howdy from the long lost blogger :)

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted, but I have been soooo busy with work. I am the office manager at my cousins auction facility in Greenville, OH Jim Wroda Auctions and he recently purchased another facility at Chautauqua Lake, NY. I have been doing the record keeping for both facilities and still taking care of one daycare child after school. That is why I haven't had time to post. But I think I am finally getting in the groove of having the added work from the NY facility, and things are going smoother.

I haven't been creating much due to not having time and having no scrapbook room at the moment. But I was able to create the decorations for the VFW's Hospice Benefit using my Cricut Expression. I used the Nifty Fifties Cartridge and had a ball making them. I also used my Cuttlebug and lots of inks, CTMH Create-a-shade Pearl Paint, and other embellishments and Stickles, Stickles and more Stickles!!

You can't have glasses with out tape on them!

My Dad used to 1/4 mile Drag race and he raced a Black and White 57 Chevy. He had Toms Toy on the side in Chevy Orange. This is in honor of him.

And Yes, I did make an Itsy Bitsy Teenie Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini too!
Used my Cuttlebug and the Pearl Paint here.
Can't have roller skates without pom poms on the laces!

BTW, my wonderful daughter Natasha got engaged on March 17 to a wonderful man, Brandt. I am extremely happy for them and will be very happy to have him as my son-in-law. He treats her, myself and my Mom like Queens and we love him. I have been searching online for decorating ideas, and we have a few using my Cricut.

On a sad note, this Tuesday marks the one year anniversary of my Dad passing away and them my Uncle on the 18th. I can't tell you how hard this year has been, but we have made it through with the help of our loving family and friends. And they prayers and kind words of all of my CTMH sisters and online friends have meant more to me than you will know. Thank you :)
